For interested Harvard undergraduates:

Apply to work on policy projects as researchers or policy chairs at the start of each semester (August & January).

Apply to join the Board at the end of each semester.

Traditionally, members work as Policy Researchers for at least one semester before applying to lead a project in their next semester as a Policy Chair. After leading their own project, Policy Chairs can either apply to join the Board or continue pursuing future Policy Research and Chair experiences with the organization.

As a Policy Researcher and Policy Chair, you'll have access to incredible research opportunities under the mentorship of officials from the top foreign affairs agencies and organizations in the world. Our projects cover a wide variety of areas applicable to any students interested in international relations, political research, scientific/technological innovations, data science, computer programming, foreign languages, and much more. Each semester, we'll select some of our most promising research teams and fully subsidize their travel to make their final research presentations to their project mentors in person in Washington, D.C. or abroad. We also pay for team meals for all policy researchers and chairs. Policy researchers and chairs are able to benefit from one-on-one mentorship opportunities with current and former Harvard Kennedy School of Government and Harvard Law School students who have specialized in the foreign policy field.

As a member of our Board, you will get to pioneer new initiatives and help spearhead Harvard's fastest-growing organization. Board members are able to forge direct connections with current and former professionals at The White House, Department of State, Department of Defense, Central Intelligence Agency, foreign government agencies and heads of state, and the world's leading think tanks, international organizations, and businesses (the United Nations, Facebook, and Google, among others). We offer all Board members exclusive opportunities for foreign travel, fully subsidized Board retreats, and many more perks.
